Blessing
the
DAY
The Blessing Day is a date you choose to intentionally bless your children, grandchildren, or those you are mentoring. A biblical blessing has the power to transform lives: men, women, children, families, and even the church itself. But it will not happen by accident. It must be done with intentionality. Click below to discover how simple it is to speak a meaningful blessing over your child.

The Church's Greatest Resource is it's Men!
As Men Go, So Goes
The Church
God has always been interested in blessing His people – from providing His Word which guides us in living a godly life, to providing all we need for daily living, to sending the much-needed rain for their crops and victory over their many enemies, who often possessed overwhelming military superiority. But most of all in giving us His Son – who God chose to bless at the very beginning of his ministry, saying, “This is my Beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased!”
It is that specific type of Blessing on a person’s life that is transmitted orally. (As you’ll see in spoken or written words). We’re called to bless others! But in particular, with our family, it’s crucial that we pass on a blessing to them. A unique and deeply needed gift, that every child, of every age longs to receive from their earthly father.
Certainly, Blessings could be given by mothers, grandparents, and God Himself. But for us fathers, you see a powerful example of a father’s Blessing (Isaac) who chooses to pass on a spoken, verbal blessing to his son (Jacob). This pronouncement, although verbal, was not merely ceremonial – for these words once given - were irretractable, irrefutable. They became literally a life-changing gift that every son and daughter longed for! (Go to Gen. 27 and see the joy for Jacob who got the Blessing, and the cry of anguish for Esau who missed his father’s blessing, “Bless me, even me also oh my father!”)
Now we are going to provide you with an opportunity to record a blessing for someone special in your life. This could be a son, daughter, wife, grandchild, other family member, friend or a mentee. It's simple, and when you are done you can share it with them via text messaging. Imagine how they feel when they receive that message!
Simply download the Travel Chapel from the App Store or Google Play. Once you set up your Free account navigate to the bottom of the home page and click on the Blessing Day.
Just click the "Record Your Blessing" button below. Need tips? After you click the button there will be an "i" in the top right hand corner. Click on that to help you prepare your message. Don't over think it! If you don't get it right the first time you will have the opportunity to re-record as often as needed. Don't put this off. Do it today!
Strategic Partnership
Legacy Minded Men is teaming with author John Trent (The Blessing), The Fatherhood CoMission and the Kendrick Brothers (Show Me The Father, War Room, Courageous, Fireproof, Overcomer ) to spearhead this all important effort to restore the ceremonial blessing to the church and empower men to assume their Godly roles in the world.

"I am excited about The Blessing Day experience. I highly recommend that men’s groups, women’s groups and churches take advantage of this training opportunity." - Gary Chapman

"The Blessing Day is a great way to quickly help dads put into practice what we share in the movie Show Me the Father!" - Stephen Kendrick

"This takes the message of The Blessing and moves it from insight to application - changing the life of a child!" - Dr. John Trent

Show Your Men That
There is Power in a Father's Blessing
Speaking the Blessing is a powerful privilege of the father or other male authority figure. When used correctly - it is a strong and uplifting affirmation! But when misused - it can lead to devastating destruction and even ruined lives. That is the inestimable power of The Blessing. As fathers and mentors, we have the power to impart a blessing, and in so doing, we can potentially change a life forever! Are you ready?
The world is collapsing around us as families continue to disintegrate and moral relativism permeates every aspect of our culture. We believe men who have abdicated their Biblical responsibilities to lead their families, the church, and communities are at the core of this collapse.
Take a look at these stats...
90%
of homeless and runaway children come from fatherless homes.
63%
of youth suicides are from fatherless homes
85%
of all children who show behavior disorders come from fatherless homes
80%
of rapists with anger problems come from fatherless homes

But men are also the solution to reversing this trend!
We are calling on men to recognize the power in the words they speak and use them to speak life into their children! The Church can play a big role in this!
What Is A Blessing?
Dr. John Trent, author of The Blessing, provides us with a detailed understanding of this powerful concept. This teaching can also be presented at your church.
Host a Blessing Day event at your church or organization!
We invite you to join us in hosting The Blessing Day to share with men these important and transforming truths and to provide them with the tools they need to bless others through their words. We provide you with all of the resources as you train your men in the power of the blessing and how to practically share that blessing with their children. A unique feature of The Blessing Day is challenging men (and women) to not only bless their children, grandchildren & mentees face to face but to also capture the moment on video so the person being blessed can always look into the eyes of the person who blessed them! Think about launching with a viewing of Show Me The Father to ignite the fire within. You can even bring Dr. Trent to your church or organization and having a Blessing Day experience for your whole congregation/group.
