Recovering It All
Just a Thought: It is extremely difficult to make good decisions when one feels weak or empty. As men, sometimes we make decisions without thinking of all of the consequences attached to that decision. It is easy to fall into a pattern like that when we don’t have an accountability structure. But even in our bad decisions, God still has us in mind.
Scripture: and David inquired of the Lord, “Shall I pursue this raiding party? Will I overtake them?” “Pursue them,” he answered. “You will certainly overtake them and succeed in the rescue.” – 1 Samuel 30:8.
Discussion:
1.Have you ever lost something or someone unjustly?
2.Can you identify a consequence of a decision you made?
3.Can you reflect in this story of David?
4.What steps can you take to minimize and ultimately stop making bad decisions?
Legacy Builder: God is a god of new opportunities, even with our mistakes. He extends His mercy and His grace never abandons us. Just like David, when we seek God with a humble and repentant heart, He is more than willing, not only to forgive us, but to cause for us to recover it all. Maybe you’ve made a bad decision and it has caused problems. If you repent and seek God, He wants you to be able to recover it all.
