Mephibosheth

Just a Thought: There are times in life where we feel defeated. It seems as if everything you try to do is wrong even though it’s not one’s fault. There are even times when it seems as if you were born with either limited opportunities or none at all. It’s almost as if everything you to try to develop has a negative experience attached to it or its simply a disillusion.

Scripture: “Don’t be afraid,” David said to him, “for I will surely show you kindness for the sake of your father Jonathan. I will restore to you all the land that belonged to your grandfather Saul, and you will always eat at my table.” – 2 Samuel 9:7.

Discussion:

1.What are some things that seem as a disadvantage to you?

2.Have you been able to identify someone that can help you process this?

3.What inheritance are you leaving your family?

4.Have you decided to make a covenant with a Jonathan in your life?

Legacy Builder: Although Mephibosheth was physically disabled, his potential was not limited. The King requested his presence so that he could eat at the table with him. God is the King of your life and he asks for you to come and sit with Him at the table; not to look at your limitations. He calls you to fellowship at His table. There are moments in life that seem as if you are starting from a disadvantage. But remember that God has not forgotten about you. He calls you today to eat at His table in the palace.
